Verbals and Verbs Jeopardy: Gerunds, Infinitves, Participles, Linking Verbs, and Main Verbs
Remember that a Gerund is a verb form (using ing) acting as a noun. A participle is a verb form acting as an adjective. An infinitive uses "to" added to the base form of the verb and functions as a noun, adjective or adverb. Linking verbs do not express action. Instead, they connect the subject of the verb to additional information about the subject.
