Management of external bleeding is not complicated. Find the hole, apply pressure, elevate if possible (extremity) and apply a pressure dressing. Usage of pressure points and tourniquets are used in situations where these basic measures do not stop the bleeding. More often than not, bleeding control is a simple process, however, a few occasions can be more challenging.
