22. The Earth’s Rotation Causes Currents to Bend

Although wind blowing across the surface of an ocean can produce currents, these currents don’t continue moving in the same direction as the wind. Earth’s rotation causes ocean currents to bend to the right in the Northern Hemisphere and to the left in the Southern Hemisphere. The currents start moving in giant circles.
