24. Cold Deep-Ocean Currents Move Beneath the Surface (C105.3)
Cold deep-ocean currents move 3 to 4 km (about 2 to 3 miles) beneath the surface. As this cold water flows, some of it warms slowly and is pushed to the surface by even colder water underneath.
