You need to create a webpage representing your future life and career. The completed web page should be attractive, colorful and informative.

TOPIC – Each student will pretend that they have been successfully employed in their chosen career for many years. They are now approximately 35 years old. Each student has received a prestigious award for outstanding contributions to their career field. Clark Kent, a reporter from The Daily Stars, has requested a full length portrait of your life from birth to the present. You job is to create a web page that has your life story, accomplishments, hobbies, resume, family etc.

FIND YOUR CAREER:

1. Go to http://www.vaview.vt.edu/index.htm

2. Click on grades 6-8

3. Choose your ONE job occupation

4. Key in your education level required and income range.

1. The Cover – Prepare an attractive web page that represents your personality, interests, hobbies, or your career. You may use pictures and animations off the Internet.

2. Career Story – Write a story of your life from birth to the present. You should type at least 4 paragraphs. Include interesting facts about yourself such as: birthdate, vacations, your family, education, hobbies, location of your home etc. Make sure you include the following:

B. When did you start this career?

C. Describe your working conditions of this job.

D. Describe why you like this job.

E. How much do you get paid according to how long you have worked there.

F. What education and/or people helped you succeed?

G. What contributions or accomplishments have you done so that you got an award from your company.

H. Where do you live and what type of car do you drive?
