COUNTRY SLIDE SHOW

 

1. Key in http://flags.net/fullindex.htm  When you arrive at the site, click on the link that says Full index.  Scroll down and find a country in BOLD print that you would like to create a slide show for.  You are not allowed to use the United States!  You can find a lot of your information on this website!

 

2. Create a new PowerPoint.  The slide show should be 11 pages and should be saved as country.

 

3. Outline of PowerPoint slides:

Slide 1- Formal Name of Country, Local Name, and Local Formal Name.  Use http://flags.net/fullindex.htm

Slide 2-

A. List the Principal Government Officials (Use SIRS website at http://sks.sirs.com/timeout.html  Click on Begin new session, click on Links to SIRS Discoverer, and then click on countries.  Click on the country you want.  Find the link that has Country Facts.  Scroll down to Government.)

B. Find a photograph of the leader of the country by using www.google.com/images.

         Slide 3-Location   (http://flags.net/fullindex.htm)

         Slide 4-Capital City and Main cities   (http://flags.net/fullindex.htm)

Slide 5- Current Date, Temperature, and skies for the capital city www.weather.com Include the weather map on your slide.

Slide 7-Currency   (http://flags.net/fullindex.htm)

Slide 8-Languages and Religions   (http://flags.net/fullindex.htm)

Slide9-Exports from SIRS website (http://sks.sirs.com/timeout.html)

Slide 11- Credit (websites that you obtained pictures and information from)

 

4.  DO NOT COPY AND PASTE INFORMATION FROM THE SITE.  SUMMARIZE THE INFORMATION INTO YOUR OWN WORDS.

 

5. You may get graphics for your slides using the webpages on Quia SOL webpage at http://www.quia.com/pages/sol8.html  Click on Computer Applications and then click on Animations.  The graphics need to relate to the content on the slides.  You need at least one graphic for EACH of the eleven slides.  You may also use www.animationlibrary.com or www.google.com/images to find graphics.
