From: Ronald Brown Sent: Wednesday, January 19, 2005 9:03 AM Subject: Algebra Test Algebra Parents: For the Unit Test we are taking tomorrow, I am allowing the students to have one sheet of notes. The sheet must be 8 1/2 x 11 (or smaller) one-sided. The unit has been about solving systems of equations. We have learned methods for solving systems of equations: * graphing * substitution * linear combinations. Additionally we have learned about 2 special cases: * parallel lines that have no solutions * overlapping lines that have many solutions I would expect that the page of notes would include information on all of the above. I gave the students a practice test for homework last night. The real test will be close to the practice test, so that practice test is the best way to study. Also, I am giving back the quizzes today that we took last Thursday. Please ask your children how they did. Mr. Brown
