The Quizzes > Basic and Quizzes > Advanced pages offer different editors but are otherwise identical. The Basic editor (the editor is what appears when you press the Create a new quiz button) is easy to learn and provides a great deal of functionality. The Advanced editorallows you to do everything you can do in the basic editor plus a few additional, more complex tasks. The following table will help you decide which editor to use:
