Alphabet keys	letter characters

Function keys	perform software function by themselves or with another character.
arrow keys	moves the cursor through body of document
Shift key	creates capital letters, symbols and highlights parts of a document
Backspace	deletes the character to the left of the cursor.
Num Lock	switches on the numeric keypad
Ctrl	peforms a software function when pressed with another key.
