It takes courage and conviction to censure those who disparage others. This behavior is not a mere foible because it has pernicious effects on the victim who is often just a scapegoat for the offender's own insecurities. We all need to make a difference and a simple, "Hey, that's not cool (kind, right, okay, etc.)" stated to the offender is a start.
