First Ten Amendments to the Constitution

The first ten amendments to the U.S. Constitution are called the Bill of Rights. They were added during the first session of Congress following the ratification of the Constitution by nine of the original thirteen colonies.

Tenth AmendmentStates that powers that are not specifically given to the national government in the Constitution belong to the states or the people.
