The verb möchten is a MODAL AUSIALLIARY VERB. It shows no action and thus requires a 2nd verb to be in the sentence. The verb möchten is conjugated and placed in the 2nd position in the sentence. The ACTION verb is placed at the end of the sentence in the infinitive vorm.
