| Matter | everything that takes up space and what all things are made of |
| property | a quality of something (color, shape, size, and texture) |
| Mass | the amount of matter and object has |
| States of Matter | Solid, liquid, and gas |
| Solid | The only form of matter that has its own shape (Ex. a table) |
| Liquid | a form of matter that takes the space of its container (Ex. water) |
| gas | the only king of mater that allways fills all the space inside the container (Ex. air) |
| Texture | the way that a surface material feels when you touch it, and how smooth or rough it looks |
