OffertorySong that accompanies the bringing forward of the collection
Offertory PrayerPrayer following the collection.
The Great ThanksgivingThe prayer over the bread and wine
Post Communion CanticleThe song sometimes sung after the conclusion of communion
BenedictionThe closing words of blessing
Central NarthexThe entrance area outside of the doors to the nave and sanctuary where people gather before and after service.
South NarthexThe area lies to the right of the nave and sanctuary as you face the doors.
North NarthexOften seen as the main entrance to church.
Vesting SacristyThis room is located off of the central narthex. In this room Hosanna stores robes, hymnal bookracks, ignitors for candles, and music equipment. This is where the worship leaders and assistants robe and prepare for worship.
SacristyThis room is located just off the santuary, on the northeast side of the building. This is where communion is prepared.
Counting RoomThis room is located on the southeast side of the nave.
Credence TableThis table stands to the left of the organ console. We place the bread, wine and the collected offering on it.
Presiding MinisterThis is the pastor who says the Words of Instituion and ensures that the service moves smoothly and generally leads the worship.
CantorThe one who arranges for and oversees the musical and liturgical practices of the congregaton
AcolyteThese persons, of all ages, serve in assisting with lights, communion and offering.
LectorPersons of all ages who read the lessons.
Assisting MinisterThey lead certain prayers, set the communion table and generally assist in conducting in the service.
