Practise past participles of strong (irregular) verbs

Play this game to help you to learn some of the most frequently used past participles of irregular verbs.

Note that the past participles end with -en (e.g. fahren - gefahren) and there is often a vowel change as well e.g. schwimmen - geschwommen.

As with regular (weak) verbs, the 'ge' goes in the middle of separable verbs e.g. angekommen.

The past participle of inseparable verbs (e.g. beginning with ver-, be-, unter-, er-, ge-) are formed without 'ge'.

These examples have all been written in the singular form. Try to learn whether the verb is formed with sein (ist) or with haben (hat).
