Students may now download the Flinn Safety Contract / Information Sheet using the link below. You will need to turn in one signed safety contract to me the first week of class. You should print off a second copy and keep it in your biology notebook for easy reference.ALL STUDENTS MUST PASS AN ONLINE SAFETY QUIZ ( with a grade of 75 or higher). This quiz will open from 9 am August 25 through 10 pm August 29 .

Biology, by Raven and Johnson, 6th edition.

Please note: I suggest you do not purchase the newer editions ( 7th or 8th) because the chapter & page #’s will NOT match my syllabus . Newer editions are also MUCH MORE EXENSIVE!!

A recommended AP Biology study guide is the "2008 Barron's AP Biology Study Guide". The price runs around $30.00 and these books are available online or at local bookstores. Another, less expensive option is Cliff's 3rd edition AP Biology which runs about $20 . These books ARE NOT required for the course.

AP BIOLOGY SUMMER QUIZ SCHEDULE -
You may take any quiz BEFORE its deadline but you may NOT take any quiz after its deadline! Deadlines are:
Quiz #1 - 10 pm June 30
THIS QUIZ IS CURRENTLY CLOSED.
Quiz #2 - 10 pm July 31
Quiz #3 - 10 pm August 25
REMEMBER:
* Links to all quizzes are found below. Just click on the link and enter your user ID and password when requested.
*You are allowed to take each quiz only 1 time.
*Quizzes will be @ 40 multiple choice questions over assigned reading
*Quizzes are timed, @ 45 minutes per quiz
* DO NOT USE THE backspace or back browser buttons as you will be kicked off the website
*Once you submit an answer to a question you can not change your answer.
*Quizzes are considered daily grades (along with lab work, daily assignments, etc.) I drop 1 daily grade each 6 weeks.
* There will be a MAJOR TEST over the summer Ecology chapters during week 2 of class. Major tests are worth 70% of your course grade.
CSHS junior or senior students who have not emailed me to request their Quia log in should do so as soon as possible so you can access the summer reading quizzes.
