I WILL BE GONE FROM NOVEMBER 17th thru NOVEMBER 25th. OUR DAUGHTER IS GETTING MARRIED IN ATLANTA ON NOV 21ST. I AM POSTING THE HOMEWORK FOR THE NEXT TWO WEEKS. IN ADDITION, FOR CONFERENCES, I WILL BE AT SCHOOL ON THE MORNING OF NOV. 11th. (Veterans Day). IF YOU WISH A CONFERENCE, KINDLY CALL ME FOR AN APPOINTMENT.
REPORT CARDS GO HOME ON MONDAY, NOV 16th. Mrs. Ferguson will hand them out that day.
November 10th is the last day of the quarter. The book reports were great! Thank you for your support!
HOMEWORK FOR November 9th and 16th:
For geography this week we will concentrate on the USA (location of states) and the capitals!!!
The state test will be next Tuesday, Nov. 10th. We will research the capitals and then the test on the capitals will be the week after Thanksgiving.
Roll of Thunder: We are on Chapter 10 of this novel. We wrote a persuasive paragraph this week on a topic related to the novel. In addition, there are quizzes at the end of each chapter with questions and journals. We will complete this novel on Thursday and the test on the novel is Friday.
NEW NOVEL: AND THEN THERE WERE NONE starts Tuesday, Nov. 17th
Voc. Unit 4: Definitions and the words 5x were due Friday. The spelling test is Nov. 12th and the vocab test is Nov. 13th. The crossword is also due on the 13th.
VERY IMPORTANT! DUE TO THE THANKSGIVING HOLIDAY...........
Unit 5 vocab will be done in one week. 5x and definitions are due Thursday, Nov. 19th. The spelling test is Thursday, Nov. 19th and the vocab test is Friday, Nov 20th. The crossword is also due Friday.
The daily oral language work will continue each week. Quiz is on Friday.
Fr. Ron has given me all the corrected work for Spanish. Check the Power School for grades. Mrs. Frutos will be here on Wed and Thursday in Father's absence. Father will be gone until the 14th. There will be one Spanish class this week on Thursday and perhaps a class the 24th depending on Father's schedule.
