Work through the following tasks in order:
1) Visit each of the websites in the 'Useful links' box below to look at maps of Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Liechtenstein. These are all German-speaking countries. Find out the names of the four capital cities (Hauptstädte) and the names of some of the major towns and cities in each of the countries.
2) Open a blank WORD document. Your title is: Landkarten von Deutschsprechenden Ländern (Maps of German-speaking Countries). Copy each of the maps and paste them into your document. Save this document.
3) Click on 'Welche Stadt ist das?' in the Quia activities list below. You can choose to make the challenge harder by not looking at your maps! What score did you get out of 24?
4) Choose one of the towns and see how much information you can find out about the town on the internet. e.g. population, main industries, location, tourist attractions, photos of the town etc. Add these to your document. Save your work again.
