- You can begin preparing for a successful year in AP Biology by completing the following by the first day of school:
- While this should be your first stop for all things AP Biology as it stays updated weekly, I use Google Classroom as a repository for the whole year. Join the class with the code: jvrckdsz.
- Review the syllabus, policies and procedures, safety contract, and honor code. You'll receive a hard copy to take home and sign with your parent/guardian, but if you understand expectations before coming to class, it will help!
- We start the first day of school with one of the AP Biology recommended labs on Animal Behavior. Review the video and lab document linked here. You'll receive a paper copy the first day of class, so no need to print it at home.
- You need a composition or spiral notebook for various in-class activities AND a sketchbook for One Page Wonders. Please bring the daily notebook to class on Monday. The sketchbook you'll need by Wednesday.
- You'll see in the syllabus that I teach a flipped classroom. You'll watch video lectures at home using Edpuzzle and we'll engage with the content through a variety of activities in class. You can start watching Unit 8 videos here. All videos should be watched before the MCQ unit test, which means by 11:59 pm Monday, September 7. There are 7 videos in this unit.
- Complete this survey by 11:59 pm Thursday, August 27.
