Week 6: February 4-7--Will combine Speaking to Persuade (p.89), Introductory Speech (p.179), and Group Discussions (p.111).
Week 7: February 11-14--Personal Opinion Speech (p.182)
Requirements:
1) Once your date and order of presentation have been established, it will NOT be changed. Please note: We have a very large class, and I am not willing to comprise what my students need to learn to accomodate changes in the schedule.
2) Prepare. Prepare. Prepare. Don't think that because this is a Communications Skills class that you can get up in front of the class and "wing" it. Everyone in the class deserves an attentive, respectful audience. That audience deserves that there be preparation of the speech they listen to.
3) Don't forget: this class is graded with an A, B, C, I, or R. I can't imagine any one of you getting less than an A, but absentees and lack of preparation can result in that scenario.
