Life Chances

“The chances an individual has of sharing in the economic and cultural goods of a society are referred to in Weberian sociology as ‘Life Chances’. The distribution of such goods is usually asymmetrical. Material rewards are clearly disturbuted unequally in most societies, but so are cultural goods, as in shown, for example, by differential access to education. This inequality reflects the access that different classes have to the benefits fo society.
