Welcome to our Quia webpage! We will be updating this site with what we are studying as well as what will be going on in first grade.
Homework
Your child will have homework on Monday through Thursday nights during the school year. This will consist primarily of listening to your child read an assigned story and studying vocabulary words and phonics sounds. It is important to remember that your child will need your assistance to become a fluent reader; the time at school is not enough for the needed practice it takes to be successful with reading. We will be checking for completed reading homework each day in our classrooms.
Volunteers
Please be sure to fill out the classroom volunteer form if you would like to be a volunteer. Per Washington County guidelines, background checks are required.
Language Arts: 8:30-11:30
Recess: 11:40-12:00
Lunch: 12:05-12:35
Encore: 12:40-1:20
Math: 1:20-2:15
Science/Social Studies: 2:15-2:45
