Hello parents and 8th grade students! On this page I will post information relating to fundraising for, and details of the 2010 CRMS G8 Boston Trip.
First event:
8th Grade Boston Trip Fundraising Parent Meeting
Date : Monday October 19th
When : 6:00 to 7:00 p.m.
Where : CRMS Library
This year's annual 8th Grade Boston Class Trip is scheduled for Friday June 4th. The trip will likely include the Museum of Fine Arts (with curriculum-linked activities), Fenway Park, and the Blue Man Group. Fortunately, a substantial portion of the trip will be funded by the Bisbee Fund. However, we still need to raise a sizeable amount of money to ensure that we do not need to ask for parents for money to help defray trip costs. It is our sincere hope that students, working with parents and the 8th Grade Team, will be able to raise all of the additionally required funds and in so doing will also learn valuable lessons about team work, goal setting, and the value of and cost of taking a trip such as this. We already have two fundraisers lined up: Christmas wreath sales and a school dance. However we need parent leadership to help execute these events and also to organize at least one more fundraiser.
Please come on Monday, October 19th and help us to make this trip a fully-funded reality for our 8th graders!
