Fair Trade
This unit consists of research on fair trade, a guest speaker on fair trade, survey of artists, a market analysis of customers in school, and the creation of Global Market and its graphic design components. We will visit Ten Thousand Villages and use that store as our basis for comparison of other businesses and programs. We will meet with a local non-profit organization who needs our help in designing its graphic identity and partner with that group to host a Global Bazaar as part of the International Festival December 4-5.. We will educate the school community about Fair Trade and why they should support it, find and select artists and artworks appropriate for our demographic population and create posters and graphic design elements for use before and during the bazaar.

Your in-class assignment will be to identify and collect information on artists and incorporate that information into a Word document that will become one of the main visuals at the Global Bazaar.
