Woodland Art Room
Spring is in the air and the Woodland Art Room has lots of exciting activities going on. We have all been studying the glass artist, Dale Chihuly. We are currently doing projects related to various types of architecture. Most art has been sent home. During the month of April, all Kindergarten students have beautiful art work on display. Please come see it in the hall outside the art room. In May, we will showcase 5th grade art. On Thursday, April 19th, all Johnson City Schools will have art on display and musical performances at the Johnson City Mall. The location will be outside of JC Penney and the time will be from 5-8 in the evening. Woodland chorus will perform at 6:00. Please come out and support the arts. You will be amazed at what our Woodland artists can do. I will try to let students know if they will have art on display for this special event. We can still use donations of markers, pencils, crayons, and eraser. Materials and money get low this time of year. Thank you for your support.
All students come to Art class for one hour each week. If class was held every week of the school year, that would only be 36 classes! So much to create, and so little time!
