TAKS Reading - We will be finishing up work on identifying the main idea in a reading passage with a quiz on Tuesday.
5/6 and 7/8 Reading - Students will review closed syllables and decode single- and multiple-syllable closed-syllable words. New spelling words will be assigned after Thanksgiving holidays. Students will receive new Reading Log selections Tuesday which will be due on Friday, December 4. Students are continuing to work through the Read Naturally program. Students are required to complete at least two selections in the Read Naturally program each week and will receive a weekly grade based on this requirement. For this six weeks' AR requirement, students should read at least 3 AR books and pass 3 AR tests. Students will have a Reading Log selection test on Friday and will receive a new Reading Log selection.
TAKS Math - This week will be finishing up rounding and estimation with a quiz on Tuesday.
5/6 Math - This week we will are continuing a unit on multiplication and division. We will be working on various aspects of multi-digit multiplication. We will be moving on the division after Thanksgiving break.
Theatre - This week we will studying the actor's body as a tool.
