5th Grade Math - Students will have daily practice in concepts covered thus far and in analyzing and solving word problems. Students will continue work on learning multiplication facts. Students will begin work in long division, dividing multiple-digit numbers by a one-digit number.
5th Grade Reading - Students are working on reading comprehension and vocabulary skills while reading the novel, Bubble Buster. They will continue work in the Read Naturally program. They will have reading log selection test on Friday and be given new reading logs.
6th Grade Reading - Students will review vowels, consonants, syllables. closed syllable words, vowel-consonant-e syllables and open syllable words. Students will practice decoding words made up those syllables types. Students will work on identifying and pronouncing words with r-controlled vowels. Students will continue work in the Read Naturally program.
5th and 6th Grade Language - Students will recognize the Doubling Rule and correctly spell words using that rule. Students will continue Expressive Writing lessons.
7th Grade Language - Students will correctly spell words using the "ai" vowel pair. Students will continue the Expressive Writing lessons.
