ALGEBRA II HELP!!

There is a website that goes with the new regular Algebra II textbook that you need to check out! It has LOTS of great help that correlates with the textbook that is being used this year. You can view tutorials with sound, take practice quizzes and tests and get feedback on your answers. The link is found at the bottom of this page under "Algebra II Textbook Website".

Another helpful website is www.tutor.com/algebra. 200 free minutes of online on demand math tutoring from professional tutors are available to students in the Dallas/Fort Worth area who are enrolled in an algebra class.

TAKS TUTORIALS

Tutorials for TAKS tests are now being offered by the Special Education teachers. These are held once a week for each subject area test. The schedule will be posted as soon as it is determined.

Some of the ones our English classes are reading are Scarlet Letter, Red Badge of Courage, Frankenstein, Huck Finn, Beowulf, The Awakening, Gulliver's Travels, and Rime of the Ancient Mariner.

FREE SOFTWARE FOR READPLEASE.COM

This is a free software program that never expires! It will read with computer generated voices anything that can be copied and pasted into a new file. The voices are pretty good and the speed and font size can be adjusted. There is a very reasonably priced upgraded version that you can download and use free for 30 days without entering any credit card information. It opens up to a full screen (the free version does not expand to a full screen)and has some other additional features. HINT: Copy and paste from Sparknotes.com. Also some Sparknotes have the full text if they are older than 75 years. You can find the full text after choosing a chapter. The link for the full text is at the top of the chapters screens.
