Course Description
Civics and Economics is the study of our government and economy and how we can be a part of our political system at any age. English focuses on our ability to communicate in writing and oral language, as well as our ability to interpret through reading.
Class Expectations
Students are expected to be in school each day, make up any missed work, and show respect for themselves and others. They are to follow all classroom routines and procedures.
Students,
Please make sure that you keep your notebooks organized. This helps you prepare for the unit test, as well as improve class participation and notebook quiz scores. When you are absent, please make sure you get any missing material, worksheets, and notes that we completed during your absence.
Parents and Guardians,
Please look in your child's notebook for work that has been graded and returned. Please use this as an opportunity to get a closer look at your child's grades as we come to the end of the nine weeks and report card time. Also, please see my Moodle page for pictures from classroom events, as well as materials to help improve studying and test preparation.
Please note that teachers' e-mail is for academic purposes only. I will not be using my e-mail to relay messages from home to students. Please call the main office to deliver those types of messages. I will be happy to correspond with you concerning your child's academic progress.
