This week we will be studying:
Reading - We have been reading Hoot and book about an environmentally conscious boy who is fighting to keep the burrowing owls safe from Mother Paula's Pancake House. We will be working on story structure, characters, theme and research.
Grammar - We are working with adverbs. We will learn to identify the adverb and the part of speech of the word it modifies.
Spelling - We are on Lesson 17
Math -We have been working on lesson 6 which concentrates on integers, and beginning solving equations.
Social Studies - We are learning about the continent of Asia, beginning with South Asia. We will research the standard of living and the physical features of this continent.
Writing - We are researching factors that affect the standard of living in South Asia, using Excel and graphing the results.
