Hello Bay View Third grade students. Welcome to Mrs. Beaver's web page. Can you believe that we are into the third quarter of school and past the 100th day!? We are looking forward to our upcoming field trip to Willet Hall in Portsmouth to see a performance about Harriet Tubman and the Freedom Train. Do you know that a pair of scissors is really 2 levers? If you did or did not, there is a lot of fun in store as we get ready to explore the world of SIMPLE MACHINES! The world of the lever, the screw, the inclined plane, the wheel and axle the pulley and the wedge. A simple machine makes work easier for us to do. We are sharpening our math skills with the learning of the multiplication tables 0-9. We are preparaing to multiply greater numbers, for example 24 x 2. Our class continues to read for AR points. We are working toward increasing our percentage of correct responses. Some of our students with a high percentage of accuracy are invited to see a puppet show put on by Young Audiences. They are, Danielle, Tyler, Amber, Thomas, Benjamin, Melissa, Mary and Garry.
