During the 6th six weeks, the fourth grade students will be exploring the following concepts:

1. Adaptations help living organisms survive in their environments,

2. Animals go through different stages of growth called life cycles,

3. Offspring inherit physical traits from their parents,

4. Learned characteristics are not inherited,

5. Past events affect present and future events,

6. Evidence of past events can be observed in the present, and

7. Animals are natural resources that need to be protected.

The next few weeks will go by in a hurry. There will be a lot going on before we wrap up this school year. I have appreciated the opportunity in trying to make a difference in your child's life. Your child's 5th grade school year will be more challenging. I wish them all luck for a great year and offer an invitation to come back and visit me sometime!
