Read together in Tomi. HW= read carefully the p119 story, and color or highlight all the verbs as you go. This story will be featured in some way on our first test. 14 septiembre: share good news, note that our first test is coming next week; get new song packet; watch first half of Extra episode 11 (travelling to Londres para unas vacaciones). We'll take the informal commands quiz on Wednesday, as we played ourselves out of time today. HW = read the p.157-8 story, study vocab and study formal commands. Test coming on Friday over commands of all sorts and the vocab p.157. 25 octubre: take vocab quiz with a few formal commands, share good news and a long but good joke in Spanish, read p.157 story together, preview the test for Friday -- STUDY the p.157 vocab and re-read the story on pp.157-8, and know your commands, both informal (tú) and formal (Ud. and Uds.). 26 octubre: test! 29 octubre: get new seats, share good news, discuss Day of the Dead and begin to plan Friday's celebration, 11 minutes of silent reading; look at our final vocab list on p.181 -- quizzes Tues and Thurs. p.184 -- these are all TRIGGERS for needing to use the subjunctive mood. HW = do p.186 #1-17, and read p.181 30 octubre: vocab quiz, discuss Hurricane Sandy, get tests back! Namely, look over very well everything on pp. 209-211 where I have recapped all the grammar stuff from the trimester. Reviewing for the final exam... there's a packet in your binder on pp. 213-221 which you can complete for 40 points (due on Friday). OR... if you'd rather review on your own, you can turn in 10 non-perishable food items to me (or a $5 contribution to the North Kent Service center) and get your points that way. If you want to do both things, you can also earn a little extra credit.
