Notebook with paper and 5 Dividers Dividers Labeled: Vocabulary Class Notes Quizes Homework Handouts Current Events 2. Pens: No Red or light colors 3. No.2 Pencils 4. Map Pencils CURRENT EVENTS Regular Classes: Requirements - Must summarize 3 articles 1. State Article: Must be a minimum of 4 paragraphs of atleast 2 sentences in the paragraph. 2. National Article: Must be a minimum of 5 paragraphs of atleast 2 sentences in the paragraph. 3. World News: Must be a minimum of 5 paragraphs of atleast 2 sentences in the paragraph. 4. Map: Locate places of the articles on the appropriate map listing the city and then state or country. Highlight the place on the map. 5. If you use the newspaper, cut out the entire article and attach on the back of CE form. If articles come from online, print the entire article and attach. 6. Assigned Articles: Specific dates will be assigned. Only articles from those dates are acceptable. 7. Summaries: Must be proportionate to the article. Write the summary in the space provided on the form or on a sheet of notebook paper. 8. NOT ALLOWED: Do not use sports articles, society news, editorial or opinion articles. 9. Due: To be announced Honors Classes: Requirements - Must summarize 3 articles Newspapers Same as Regular Except: 1. State Article - Atleast 6 paragraphs in article 2. National and World Articles - Atleast 7 paragraphs in the article. Magazine Articles: 1. Must come from assigned magazine and dates. 2. Article must: a. have 3 sentences in a paragraph if article is only 5 paragraphs in length. b. Paragraphs can be any length if article is 6 or more paragraphs. 3. Must have 2 articles - One national and one world. 4. Locate places of article on map.
