Dear
Parent:
For the 2002-2003 school year I am happy to teach
your child. With our mutual support I am confident that your child will be
successful.
My goals include helping your child to obtain not
only mastery of the content knowledge but also good study habits and confidence
that she or he can succeed in the subject area. I am certain that you share my
goals.
In order to reach these goals it is necessary for
your child to be attentive in class, diligently perform all homework
assignments, and review the subject matter in preparation for class. All
mathematics courses are cumulative in nature.
Thus it is essential that your child not fall behind.
All expectations are made clear in class. Please
check regularly with your child about his or her progress and emphasize the
importance of consistent hard work for successful learning of mathematics.
I will contact you about your child’s progress
whenever it is necessary. Please feel free to contact me with any questions or
concerns you may have.
Thank you for your support of our program at
Bernards High School.
Sincerely,
Kay Lee Collins
