ICE component of BIT Semester 2.
An Overview
The intention of this unit is that students will gain sufficient knowledge and experience to develop:
1. a folio of MS Word and Excel files which demonstrate basic understanding of the design elements related to those programs. Teachers will unitise previous resources as well as new resources to achieve task. Entire task is presented with contents page and title page.
2. a folio of Internet based activities which demonstrate knowledge about netiquette, electronic communications and online lifestyles and services. Internet folio would be attached to MS Word/excel folio.
3. a power-point presentation on a topic mutually approved by teacher and student. Students will need demonstrate planning (storyboard), maintain a log of their progress and use design elements suitable power-point and the intended audience. Students will need to research topic and resources needed to complete task by using traditional and internet resources.

Students explain how individuals and communities use a selection of online synchronous and asynchronous communications tools, online events and online services to solve communication and information challenges.
VE 4.2
Students use a selection of synchronous and asynchronous communications tools within online events or through online services
