Dear Parents,
As we look ahead to next week we can really see the end of the school year. On Tuesday, we will have only 8 days left…and one of those is our zoo trip! Everyone has returned their permission slip, but some owe the $2 for the merry-go-round. In this Folder is a special note for those drivers who have agreed to drive.
Our Bible story next week will be about (Old Testament) Joseph. This is a story of fighting and jealousy…but also love and forgiveness. It is also evidence of how God can turn something bad into something good!! We will have one Bible verse:
Friday, June 2 Forgive one another, as God has forgiven you. Ephesians 4:32
Math- Next week the children will be learning about centimeters. We will also be reviewing the last facts of the year. There will be no test next week.
Spelling- We have had our last spelling test for the year! We will continue to work on spelling skills and reviewing words…through games and activities…but no more tests!
Reading- We continue to work on our reading stories. We will be learning words and reading random stories from the Trophies Book for these last days.
All Roaring Readers book slips must be turned in by Friday, June 1. All books must be returned by the last day of school. Next week I will send home a sheet with the # of books checked out…the last week of school I will let you know the titles.
THANK YOU! THANK YOU! We did win the BOX TOP contest and the Pizza Party. I don’t know details yet. The pizza may take the place of a lunch…or be an afternoon snack one day!
No school on Memorial Day, Monday, May 28.
