Students are currently completing a mini-unit on nouns and numbers. They will then study adjectives and colors and end the quarter with a brief study of the phrase "me gusta" (I like) to tell about their personal interests.
Thank you to Spanish classes that created flags, papel picado and the welcome banner for the Fine Arts Showcase.
6th Grade Reading
We are working on our Biography unit. Students are reading Biographies of famous humanitarians or civil rights activisits and completing a writing piece about that person. We are using a step up to writing technique that helps us organize our writing using a topic sentence, star idea, elaboration, conclusion format. We are using a color coded arrangement with each part using a different color. Students will also be putting the information into a Powerpoint to share with the class.
Students have now completed their writing and Powepoints!! We are presenting these projects in class this week.
