Social Studies - Georgia Dailies Week 5 due Monday, September 18
Reading - Study your plastic bag vocabulary words that are on idex cards. (These math terms are: estimate, increase, decrease, benchmark, and period.)
Math - Do this on notebook paper. - Practice 2.2 #18, 19; Practice 2.3 #7, 9; Practice 2.4 #28, 29; and Practice 3.2 #29, 32
TEST INFORMATION
We have a spelling test each Friday. Students are given their words on Monday. .
FIELD DAY
Fourth grade will have their field day on Wednesday, September 20. Students will work in centers from 9:00 - 10:30. Students will have relays and tug-of-war from 12:30 - 1:45.
PICTURE DAY
My class will have school picture taken at 8:50 AM on 9/18. Information will be coming home concerning picture payment and picture selection.
HAT TRICK FOR READING
Hat Trick for Reading information came home on September 8. Students are to read and record their books on the bookmarks they received starting on September 8 and continuing through September 29. Students need to give me their completed bookmarks. I will report this information to Mrs. Gibson on October 2. Students who successfully complete this program will receive certificates for tickets on October 7.
CRCT
The CRCT (Criterion Referenced Competency Test) will be administered to the students in April. It is expected that fourth grade students pass the language arts, math, science, and social studies portions of the CRCT for promotion to the fifth grade. I have added two links to my website. One link will take you the Department of Education's website where you will find samples of pasts CRCT exams. The other site will take you to Educational Design. Here you can get information on how to purchase CRCT coach books for each subject.
