Welcome to Seventh Grade Social Studies!
I am looking forward to an exciting and successful year in 7th Grade Social Studies. The first semester will include the study of Civics. During the second semester, we will "travel" through the Eastern Hemisphere through the study of Geography.

CLASS RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Bring your book (optional with our new class copies), folder, homework, and supplies to class everyday.
2. Complete all homework and classroom assignments on time.
3. You are responsible for completing assignments missed due to an excused absence.
4. Follow all classroom rules
TEST DAYS - PROGRESS REPORTS - REPORT CARDS
Social Studies test days are Wednesday or Thursday, however these days are subject to change. Students will receive a 2 week planner in order to plan more effectively for daily and weekly assignments. Homework will be usually assigned on a daily basis. I will usually begin homework at the end of the period in order for students to have an understanding of the expectations. Tests, homework, participation, and projects will average for a student's progress reports.
Grades will be updated weekly on STI. Report Cards will be sent home every 9 weeks.
WHAT TO DO IF YOU ARE ABSENT:
Make-up work will be found in the front of the classroom in the make-up work file for the days missed. I follow the Pizitz policy for absences. I will allow two days to make up work for each excused day missed. This will include homework, quizzes, and tests.
