Below you will find the link for the word magnets the kids can play this week. They need to write two of the sentences down that they have created and return those to school on Friday. It is ok to do the writing in the Agenda Book if you choose. Have fun! There are lots of different ways to make sentences using all the different vowels. We practiced today in class and I was quite impressed with how they knew what words would work and what ones wouldn't and why. They are awesome!!

You will also notice that the Story It website is FULL of all sorts of fun things to get kids involved in reading, as well as writing. I usually encourage this site closer to the end of the year, but I think this class is ready and this site can be fun over break. Enjoy!

The other piece of the homework this week is that the children need to learn how to tie their shoes. Even if they wear Velcro, the shoe tie process is always good to know. I know that they have the ability to handle the fine motor skills because I watch them with the little Lego's! It just takes time and practice to master the art of shoe ties! They will have a demonstration opportunity on Friday morning of this week. Have a good time!

So here we are looking at the second month of our new year together. Please check out the websites I have added to help your child have a bit of extra learning fun. I hope you put your emphasis on the fun when you are exploring these sites with your child. They all work very hard in the classroom!
