  • Write 5 sentences with 10 syllables in each sentence.
  • Mark the nouns and verbs as stressed beats.
  • Use a dictionary to determine the stressed beat of multi-syllabic words. Mark the stressed beat.

    Read pp. xxiii to xxv on Shakespeare's Language.

    5/10 Homework:

  • Study terms from our introduction to Shakespeare's Language.
  • Also know: courtly love and humors from the worksheets passed out in class.
  • Complete the Quote worksheet to Act 1, Sc. 1

    5/11 Homework:

  • Study the terms introduced in class.
  • Complete the Quote worksheet to Act 1, Sc. 2 & 3; from these quotes begin to identify differing attitudes toward love.
