Dear Students,

Welcome to Books, Games and What's Happening ! Thanks to all of you who have been excited and eager to try the activities and take book quizzes.

This web site is specially designed for the 2nd grade students at the Vining School, but anyone can play the games and take the quizzes. Some games and quizzes are easy and others are really challenging! I also have links to other great web sites.

Try out the new quizzes on whales and sharks. There's a cool new game called Know-It-All that 2nd, 3rd and 4th graders will enjoy. You can play it by yourself or with a partner. Maybe you will win a million dollars playing Super Century! It's suitable for elementary and middle school students. (Students from my class have researched most of these facts in their 100 Day Scavenger Hunt.)

I also have new book activities, but I would like to know which authors and stories YOU like best. Please email me at my new email address and let me know what books you're reading.

Parents, thank you in advance for the extra time and effort it takes to engage your children in these activities and for encouraging them to read, write, and discuss their ideas!
