Bienvenue à la classe de Français III!

You've finished what I believe is the most difficult year of French; French II. This year you will learn many new things, but this will be a great time to really review and sharpen your skills. There is so much to learn and you are going to be amazed at your progress, especially as this class will be combined with French IV.

In French I, we learned a lot of vocabulary words and 5 verb conjugations. In French II, we learned many more vocabulary words and 22 verb conjugations. In French III, we will be reviewing all of those verbs while adding new verb tenses: the imperfect, the future and the conditional. You'll be using a lot of the same verbs that you already learned in many new ways.

Please make time to study your verbs and vocabulary for at least 15 minutes each night. Make it a daily ritual. Here are some ways to help you improve your French.

• Make flashcards and use them! Study by yourself, with a friend, or with a parent.
• Teach someone else what you are learning.
• Write French words in your notebook and practice saying them aloud.
• Borrow my take-home tutor and download it on your own computer. (It's legal!)
• Visit our textbook site, www.classzone.com.
• Play games on this website.
• Go to www.yahoo.com/fr and listen to French music.
• Change the language to French on your favorite DVD.
• Get a free French tutor through the Roseville National Honor Society.
