To encourage celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month (9/5-10/15), students are asked to research a person of Hispanic descent who has made a significant contribution to the community or to their own lives, then create a portrait of this individual AND write a brief descritption of him/her and why they chose this person.
Student's first name, school or city must not be named in the body of the essay or artwork.
JUDGING will be based on originality, creativity and interpretation of the theme and design and excellence for grade level.Writing will b e based on content, clarity and overall creativity and excellence for grade level.
