This is the place for you if you want to find out what's going on in class or get extra practice!

Math

We are learning about geometry this month. On Friday, March 20th, the students will take the 3rd Quarter Division Benchmark Assessment in Math. Topics tested on the assessment will include: Probability, Time, Measurement, and Geometry.

Please keep working on those math facts!!!

Reading

All students should be reading for at least 30 minutes per night. Reading should be a daily activity. Talk to your children about their books or have a family real aloud. In class, students are reading novels, AR books, and stories from the Scott Foresman reading book. On Mondays, every student will have a new list of vocabulary and spelling words for the week listed in the “Family Times”. Every Friday, students will take spelling and vocabulary quizzes, along with an open-book reading test.

**If students should ever forget their workbook at school, the website where you can find the reading workbook online and print the pages is listed below in the "Useful Links" section. In the same section, there is also a link for the weekly Family Times.

Writing

Students will be using the steps of the writing process to compose various types of writing pieces. They will also write in a personal journal throughout the year.

Science

The students in my homeroom will be going to learn about Rocks and Minerals with Ms. Buckley for the next few weeks.
