Purpose:
The students will use Microsoft Publisher to learn how to produce a professional looking desktop publishing project in the form of a magazine.

Goal:
The students will produce a mini magazine. Topics may include; A documentary on a current event, or a creative literary magazine.

Methodology:
1. The class will be divided into teams of 3-5 students.
2. The students will use information and graphics from magazines, newspapers and or the internet.
3. Working in teams, the students will layout on Microsoft Publisher their magazine.

Requirements:
1. The magazine will be laid out on 6 sheets of 11X17 paper which is folded to create 12 pages of the magazine.
2. The front and back covers will be included in the 12 pages.
3. A table must be included in the magazine.
4. The magazine must be at least 75% text.

A. The body text will be 12 point Times New Roman except for headings.
B. There will be a maximum of 3 fonts and a minimum of 2 fonts used.
C. Image captions will be 10 point Times New Roman.
D. Margins will be no more than 1 inche.
