Today you will be researching Cuba. You will get a questions sheet that will need to be filled in by the end of the hour. Follow the following steps:
1. View slide show about Cuba.
2. Do the questions practice activity to become familiar with the question words you will be using.
3. Practice the Cuba flashcards a couple of times to see what kinds of words you will be needing to use when answering the questions today.
4. Begin your search and fill in your worksheet.
5. If you have extra time, spend some time working on the other vocabulary practice activities or try the familiy vocabulary mini-quiz

Today we will be focusing on researching the U.S. trade embargo on Cuba. Below you will find some useful sites that will provide a starting point for your information collection. You will want to answer the following questions:
1. ¿Quién puede (can) ir a Cuba?
2. ¿Quién no puede ir a Cuba sin (without) un permiso especial?
3. ¿Por qué no pueden ir las personas de los Estados Unidos a Cuba sin una visa especial?
4. Qué grupos pueden solicitar(apply for) una visa para ir a Cuba?
5. Escribe una lista de los argumentos en contra de y en pro del embargo.
6. ¿Qué impacto tiene el embargo en la gente de Cuba?
