To describe how people look or are – their appearance and personalities- there are severeal verbs that we can find most handy. Among them let me mention: Ser, Tener, Parecer & Usar. Each of them are used to refer to specific traits such as clothing, height or weight, accessories etc.. *Review the following tips, watch the powerpoint presentation and then click on the links that follow to see more exercises or vocabulary. Remember: •Ser (to be) is helpful when talking about personality or physical permantent traits. •Tener (to have) is better used to mention characteristics like the eyes, hair or other permanent “extras” lika a tatoo or sideburns. •Parecer (to seem) used to express your opinion as to “how someone seems like”. •Usar (to wear) to talk about what a person -usually- wears, including things like earrings, glasses, etc...
