Week of February 13th:Reminder: You need to make an appointment with me to rewrite your narrative. Last chance. All rewrites must be finished and handed in by March 1st in order for them to be regraded. Any rewrite handed in after March 1st will not have a grade change. I NEED an opportunity to look over them before grades are due.
We will continue to read and discuss the book Fever 1793 by Laurie Halse Anderson. FYI: All students have been encouraged to attend extra help or to ask me for extra help if they are having any difficulty reading Fever 1793 independently. Parents, please encourage your son/daughter to see me if they are struggling at home. If you would like to take a look at the webquest that the sixth grade English teachers created, it can be accessed via a "Useful link" at the bottom of the page.

Monday, February 13th: We discussed chapters 23-26 in class today. Read Chapter 27 tonight. You do not have to complete the notes for 27. Please remember to bring in the PREZI forms with parent permission to use an email address by tomorrow. An example Prezi is below.

Tuesday, February 14th: Finish reading the book by Thursday! No homework if you were in the English classes that completed the reading! I'll see you in the Foreign Language Lab tomorrow to start the Prezi assignment. Don't forget to bring an email address to school tomorrow. You WILL need to bring your binder to the lab.

MARS READING REQUIREMENT: Every MARS reading class -whether with me or another teacher - should be keeping track of the pleasure reading that you do independently. You should be reading for a minimum of thirty (30) minutes at least four (4) times a week. MARS is a pass/fail class and attitude, effort and participation do count!
