TASK

You are in the 11th grade and it is time to complete applications for colleges, but you do not know where to begin. You will begin with finding out which career cluster you have the most interest in by completing the "Career Interest Inventory." Once you have assessed your current interest and identified your career cluster, you will choose a future occupation and research that occupation. After researching your future occupation, you will choose a guture college and determine your major base upon your future occupation. Finally, you will graduate from high school and present your fuuture career and college choice to other member of your graduating class.

THE PROCESS

Step 1: You will begin by assessing your career interest by completing this survey.

Step 2:Now that you have completed the "career interest inventory" you will need to research a career choice within your career cluster. You will need to know the projected need for employees, your salary or wages, tasks and responsibilities. Remember this is your future career, so make an informed decision. Step 3:There are many colleges and universities to choose from, so you will need to research a couple of them to find out their cost, location and to make sure they offer your major. This is another important decision. US News List of Colleges and Universities

Step 4: Now that you have gathered all your research, you will need to present your findings to other members of your graduating class. You will use the template provided to create your presentation. Download Presentation Template

THE EVAULATION

Your presentation will be evaluated with the following rubric. You will also complete an online test to assess your gained knowledge from the assignment.

I hope that you have gained alot of knowledge and interest in pursuing a college education. Your decision about your education will have long term effects on your future. The more you know, the more your grow.
